Exhibitions at the Grunwald Gallery

Exhibitions at the Grunwald Gallery incorporate art from a variety of contemporary genres and approaches, and can be experimental or traditional. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.

The gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building, 1201 E 7th St, Bloomington, IN 47405. Gallery hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 12-4 p.m. (Closed Sunday and Monday)

Continuum: Eskenazi Faculty Exhibition 2026

Friday, January 16, 2026, 6 p.m.—Saturday, March 07, 2026, 4 p.m.

Work by over fifty IU artists, architects, and designers comes together in “Continuum: Eskenazi Faculty Exhibition 2026," on view January 16-March 7, 2026. Saluting the Eskenazi School’s first decade in existence, the show spans media across disciplines representing the scope of instruction at the school.

The Grunwald Gallery presents the second group of Spring 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibitions, featuring work created by graduating Master of Fine Arts students in the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University, representing the culmination of each student’s graduate research in the arts.

BFA Spring 2026 Thesis Exhibition

Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 12 p.m.—Saturday, May 02, 2026, 4 p.m.

Graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts students in the Eskenazi School present their culminating work in the BFA Spring Thesis Exhibition at the Grunwald Gallery, comprising work in digital arts, graphic design, metalsmithing & jewelry design, painting, photography and printmaking. The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, April 24 from 6-8 pm.
